Week 2: 09/02/2019 - 09/08/2019

The second week of our Design Phase saw the approach of Hurricane Dorian which unfortunately closed the campus for most of the week, eliminating our first individual meeting with Professor Ejaz. However, we still tried to accomplish a few things.

Avery purchased a temporary stepper motor from a local store in order to gain some insight into how they work and get familiar with the code. Together, we did some further research on a better motor with a small size and good speed to fit our needs better. We decided on a NEMA 11-size motor (https://www.pololu.com/product/1205and  DVR8834 Stepper Motor Driver (https://www.pololu.com/product/2134)

Also, using the test library for the LIDAR sensor, we tried to start implementing our conceptual idea for the object detection aspect of the project into the code.
